It took eleven innings for the Armada to beat the Yuma Scorpions 3-2. The Fleet now improve to 16-16 in the GBL South Division, and are now .500. This was the first extra-inning game of the year for the Long Beach Armada at Blair Field.

Bottom of the second, Daryl Jones doubled to deep left field with one out. Then with two outs Brandon Howard singled to second base, after a bobble from Castro, then Jones rounded to third. Jones kicked the ball out of the glove of Mosquera to tie the game up at 1-1.
Bottom of the fourth, Andy Bouchie hit at shot for a base hit. With runners on first and second, Womack came to the plate with two outs. A balk from Carlos Ladeuth brought in Kaplan to score and tie the game at 2-2.

Your question on what the boys need to do to make a strong push in the second half? Besides shoring up the defence a bit, how about getting a more agressive manager. G.T. is toooo concervative in all aspects of the game. I will say he has let the boys run the bases a little bit more. How about some pinch running in key spots late in the game. Putting more speed on the bases and putting pressure on the defence. Playing some hit and run. Stealing bases early in the game. Trying to strech a single into a double. Again, putting the pressure on the defence. We have some jackrabbits on this team. Utilize that speed. If all these things don't work, call it a season. See you at the park.
