St. George takes series 2-1

Ben Fox pitched a terrific game, but picked up his fifth loss as the Armada fall to the St. George Road Runners 2-0, and loose this series 2-1. The Fleet is now 3-7 in the second half of the GBL season.

St. George was on top of the Armada in the third inning, when Henry Calderon hit a double and was able to move to third base after a sacrifice bunt. Rudy Yan singled up to the middle to give the Road Runners a 1-0 lead.

St. George scored again in the fifth inning when Calderon once again came through for his team when he was brought in off the RBI single from Yosvany Almario. That gave the Road Runners a 2-0 lead.

In the bottom of the ninth the Armada looked to see if they could get a miracle, but David Seccombe was too much for the Fleet tonight, as he closed the game giving the Fleet the loss.

The Armada will have the weekend off to regroup and come prepared for the Yuma Scorpions on Tuesday right here at Blair Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm. Have a good weekend Armada fans, and hope to see everyone out at Blair Field on Tuesday.

CAlM DOWN DAN.. if you don't like what he writes then don't come here and read it.. everyone has their own opinion... this board is for opinions, not you trying to be an internet hardass. just shut it down big shooter...

Sorry Andrew, but I have to disagree with you. It's not whether or not one agrees with Anonymous's points (which I don't), this is a public message board and there is no reason at all to air his/her opinions that way. Just plain childish. I do believe a player (pitcher, position, quarterback, etc) can have a good/great game and his team loses (Harvey Haddix comes to mind).

Mr "A".
(The "A" is NOT for anonymous)
Figure that one out.

Don't know what to tell you my man, except that you ;have some serious issues.
I invite you to come down to the playing field before or after any game, (That is if you actually go to the Armada games) and give your opinion about the team first hand. I'm sure Ben Fox and or any other team member will set your ass straight. Then again I take it you have no Cajones to do so face to face. I know Ben Fox would introduce you to a 93 MPH left hook and knock some sence into you.
Again.....come on down to the field next home game. Me and the rest of the team would love to set you straight.

Well then you don't come on here talking trash and putting someone on blast. You simply state whether you agree or disagree with the comment ( like you did to mine) then you move along. This isn't for arguing and starting fights.

hahaha hilarious keep talkin it up "team armada".. problem is, i wouldnt waste my money to go to a game. however, since your so tough, i personally invite you to meet me at any location off blair field... and dont worry about ben fox, if he a 93 mph left hook maybe he should throw his fastball harder than 83... once again if you want to talk trash and be a hardass, feel free to leave a personal email i can reach you at and we can settle it off the bulletin board. thank you come again.
