Getting rid of J Spradling was a great move. in over 20 home games that I've been to this season, I did not see him do anything to make the pitching staff better. In the last 4 appearances by R Tacker, the poor kid couldn't hit the side of a barn from the inside. Yet Spradling did nothing to help him with his mechanics. In one outing he tossed 23 pitches with only 3 of them being strikes. 9 straight balls way outside the strike zone. I'm not saying that Buller is the answer, but Spradling surely was not. Let's see what kind of second half the pitching staff has. I feel that except for tacker, the pitching has gotten alot better. 2nd in ERA in the leauge. It's the lack of timely hitting that is hurting. HMMM??? New batting coach maybe?
