Armada defeat Yuma 3-0

The Armada defeat the Yuma Scorpions 3-0, and now advance to a 15-16 record in the GBL South Division, one game below the .500 mark.

Bottom of the third, Steve young started things off with a walk, then stole second base to put himself in position to score. After a fly ball into left field by Omar Bramasco, it allowed Young to come home and score, and it gave the Armada a 1-0 lead.

Bottom of the sixth, Napolean Calzado started with a base hit, and then stole second. Calzado was able to advance to third thanks to a wild pitch from Salazar. Then another wild pitch from Salazar allowed Calzado to come home and score, giving the Armada a 2-0 lead.

Bouchie and Edgecome got back to back walks in the bottom of the eighth to put runners on first and second . Daryl Jones came through for the Armada with a sacrifice fly to give the fleet a 3-0 lead.

Hideki Irabu finished the night allowing only one walk, and striking out four, in seven innings.

The Armada finish off the series tomorrow with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 pm. Make your way out to Blair Field for some baseball, and a special fireworks show after the game. What a better way to kick off fourth of July weekend with Armada Baseball and Fireworks. See you there.

BADASS CACCA where are you your being too quiet, are you not enjoying your season or are you just lost for words!!! I KNOW THATS NOT THE CASE
