Jerome Wiliams movin' on up...

Jerome Williams, the one time San Francisco Giant, Chicago Cub and Washington National is back in organized baseball. He pitched four innings in tonight's contest and was then signed by the L.A. Dodgers and will report to the Inland Empire 66'ers, the Dodgers' A+ club. The plan is to have him get 4-5 starts in San Bernardino, then move up to AAA Las Vegas. Octavio Martinez, the Armada starting catcher, played for the 51's last season. We will keep you updated on the progression of Jerome and of David Parrish, who was signed by the Colorado Rockies organization two weeks ago. You can find out all the Armada at www.longbeacharmada.com
