Armada 6 Scorpions 14

Well, it was a complete opposite outcome from last night. Yuma jumped out of the gate in first inning and scored five runs off starter Jerome Williams. Jerome would go 6 innings giving 13 runs, 10 earned on 14 hits, walking 2 and striking out 2 Scorpions. The Scorpions in the first got RBI's from 3B Henry Calderon, RF Maikel Jova, LF Jeremy Cleveland, DH AJ Valentine, and 2B Hector Bernal. They would add five runs in the third off Jerome thanks in part to a solo HR by CF Yosvany Almario and RBI's from Valentine, Bernal, and SS Ryan Barba.

The Armada would answer with three runs in the second inning. Dan "Double" Trumble doubled in DH Tony Torcato. Trumble would later be sac flied in by 1B Norm Hutchins. Petie Montero would drive in C Octavio Martinez later in the inning. Long Beach would add two in the seventh and one in the ninth. Martinez went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and one RBI. Hutchins went 2 for 3 driving in one.

Two birthday boys had a great night. For Long Beach P Justin Segal celebrated by striking out three in two innings of work and giving up no runs. 2B Hector Bernal of Yuma went 2 for 5 driving in 5 runs including a three run shot in the sixth inning over the right field wall. The win goes to Yuma starter Roger Luque (1-2) going 7 innings giving up five earned runs on eight hits walking one and striking out 4.
