Look who's available

Just dug up this story about former OC Flyers and last year's GBL MVP Pat Breen being released by the Angels. Any chance this guy makes a return to the GBL? I know one thing, he's certainly not looking forward to seeing that outfield wall at Blair Field any time soon. That still gives me chills. Ouch.

Pat Breen was a terror at the plate last season. His defence was about average. Probably why he was released. Talking to some pro scouts last season...his defence and his lack of speed in the outfield were keeping him back in Indy ball. As we witnessed over and over again, this kid can hit the hide off a baseball. I'm sure some team who needs a big bat will pick him up. ( Armada.....Hint Hint)
Yes, I too still remeber that terrible crash into the center field wall. (Not fence) at Blair last season during the playoffs. I was one of the first out on the field to check his status, and believe me, it scared the beejeebies out of me when he was not moving at all. He plays ball with ALOT of grit and determination. The way it should be played.

True, but he wasn't hitting very well early on this season

Officially, it was a big game meriting two stories.
Unofficially, the front office wanted me to write a new story because it was a big enough game that we needed a well-written story to be posted on our website to represent the team better. More work for me, but I enjoy writing (thus the blog, all the press releases, website updates, etc).
