Armada sign LHP Jamie Arneson

Left-handed pitcher Jamie Arneson has signed with the Long Beach Armada for the 2009 season. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 16th round of the 2006 amateur draft and played three seasons in the Reds system at the Rookie and A levels. In 2008 with the Billings Mustangs (Pioneer League), Arneson started 15 games, going 6-3 with a 4.65 ERA. Born is Iowa Falls, Iowa, Arneson graduated from Liberty High School in Bakersfield, Calif. He is 6'5", weighing 195 lbs and should provide the Armada with another impressive left-handed option on the mound in 2009.
